So Weezy’s manger Cortex Bryant talked to VIBE, about Weezy and Drake. And what he thinks will happen when Drizzy’s video for “Show Me A Good Time” drops. No doubt that will be a big hit, one of the better songs off that album for sure. Excerpt below, read the full article after the jump.
So if “Over” was an appetite soother, “Find Your Love” an emo stunna and “Miss Me” a hip-hop head’s favorite, where does that leave Drake’s 4th upcoming single “Fancy?” ‘I don’t think ‘Fancy’ is that pop record either,” reveals Cortez. “It’ll go so far, but when we drop ‘Show Me A Good Time’ in September— that has the potential to be that big record.”

Earlier this month, Lil Wayne granted his first in-jail interview to Hot 97′s DJ Funkmaster Flex in New York City. Wayne, who is roughly two months away from being released from Rikers Island prison spoke to the DJ live on air answering a variety of questions including what artists he would like to record with once he’s released.
To much surprise, Kansas City emcee Tech N9ne was at the top of that list alongside André 3000. Tech, who has released 10 albums and sold over a million copies independently was just as shocked as the rest of the world when he heard the news. Read more

Don’t get excited. It’s slow right now so I decided to post this. This track came out a while back but I found a new version with just Wayne saying “C4″ a bunch of times at the end of the track. Nothing new on here except that, so If this track was something you missed I’d advise you to download it since Wayne tears this apart. The final version of this track is going to have a new middle verse on it,. Last night Mike Banger was mixing the final version of the track, so that means it’s definitely going to be coming. Props to Hawk on the LWHQ forums.

Birdman recently talks with XXL. During the interview he went on to talking about how he thinks Lil Wayne is like the great Michael Jackson. Now, I rather not sayin what I really want to say about this whole thing but, Birdman is retarded to even say Weezy compares to MJ. Not that I’m dissing Wayne, because you know I’m a big fan, but that’s just stupid.
As successful as the label has been in Wayne’s absence, you gotta be very optimistic for when he comes home.
Can you image when Wayne comes out? He been gone, he ain’t get to see this shit, he only been hearing it. When Wayne comes home he lifts everybody’s spirits, he lifts everybody’s value, he lifts the brand, he lifts everything. Wayne is gonna be the biggest artist in music, not just in hip-hop; in music. It’s some Michael Jackson shit right here goin’ on right before our eyes.
That’s a wild comparison. What can we expect from C4? You know that’s the one everybody is waiting on.
He’s a beast; he went back to that raw rappin’. That nigga still be impressin’ me with his music. I say that to say that I be around him a lot so the shit he do and say shouldn’t be as impressive to me. I’m one of his biggest fans, I be geeked out on him. I watch him work, he’s just cold. It’s some magical shit to watch the young blood do what he do.
I don’t know about you but I know I cant wait to hear the other 9 songs from I Am Not A Human Being EP. Now we know we are getting even more music after that when Wayne gets out. I heard as well that the song “Told Ya’ll” was being mixed yesterday by Mike Banger and there was a few new lines on there from Wayne. Apparently it’s gonna show up on C4? Pretty interesting track from Weezy. It’s not too bad to be honest, more on the RNB side that we don’t see from Weezy much but no complaints, its new WEEZY! Props to YMHD.
